1992 Ford Tempo GL, 4dr - Propane Conversion: $1600/offer.
3.0 Liter V6, Automatic, PB, PS, AC, AM/FM/Cassette, etc.. 170k miles, good to very good condition in most respects.
Tempo Fans, this is your lucky day to get a rare 1992 Tempo GL V6, 4 door, Propane conversion in fine shape. This is an ex-Boulder Fire Department fleet vehicle. The underhood sticker shows a professional Propane conversion was done in 1993 by a Colorado fleet contractor. I bought her with under 75k miles in 2002 (10 year sell off policy), in need of some work, which I've done and documented. She now has 170k miles, mostly highway travel or commuting here in the Northern Colorado dry climate. I've been on many trips up to 1400 miles long and have records of most good fuel stops in the area centered on Northern Colorado and and some farther locations. She still has most gas parts in place (tank, lines, injectors, electrics, sensors...) if you want to revert.
This 92 Tempo runs and drives OK, with a few quirks due to the fuel. Transmission is good and I changed the fluid 4 times during my ownership (put in a drain pan plug when I did the filter soon after I bought it). The interior is good with little wear for miles. Her body is very good with little rust, clean and straight. Paint is good, no stripping or peeling, just minor dings. Has new catalytic converter, new heater core, recent new rear struts and cargo springs. Steering is tight and she corners flat due to the HD springs. The brakes are good, tires fair. Comes with several spare rims with usable tires. Have repair and propane fuel records.
Racers/Modders Note: I think this car had provision for the 4WD option and has a drive shaft tunnel (currently being used by exhaust). So, could take a rear drive axle.
OK, what does she need? New windshield (baseball strike), fuel system tune or rebuild (State diag said cat con not lighting off, fails Colorado Front Range region emissions. If you license out of this area, doesn't apply to you). Not all electric windows working. AC needs recharge. Driver's shoulder belt needs repair. Electric locks have been disabled (they freeze up), but you can use them manually just fine..
Conditions of sale: "As is", no warranty. $1600/offer, cash preferred or direct transfer to my bank.
