Well at least I finally found a place that values their ford tempo as much as I do. I love my girl yes boys I said girl. She is my pride and joy, she may not look like much but i will tell you this she is only a four cylinder and she outruns most 8 cylinders around here. I get 43 yes 43 mile per gallon 38 in town she never gives me any trouble except in the hot weather then she just shuts of stays off for about an hour then turns back on and keeps right on going. I bought her about 2 years ago at a junk dealer and have ha to do no repairs until now and at that all I had to replace was both inner on one outer Tye rod until today I think my starter went out! I have put over 40,000 miles on her in 2 years and she only seems to be getting better, now here is the heart break of this when i took her in for the Tye rods the mechs broke my seat now it wont come up ll the way anymore I checked the spring and it is OK it seems as if the seat itself has come lose so much for my faith in a mech

Tempos and Topazs are notorious for the inner, outer tie rods and the lower ball joints. I have replaced my fair share on my small fleet. But good luck on your efforts to find a seat
