Picked up a '90 Tempo on Tuesday. Wasn't really looking for one, was looking for an Escort because I have 3 others(2 for parts). But it wasn't to be. Anyways, on the way back to work after lunch I saw this Tempo for sale about a 1/4 mile down the highway. Stopped and checked it out, pretty good shape and 81,000 miles on it. The owner was in a old folks home and hadn't drove it for 3 years. The blue paint is faded big time from just sitting in the sun, and it runs real smooth. What I'm looking for is weather stripping for the drivers door. Found a chuck about 1.5' long that was ripped off. Haven't had much luck locating a source.

Depending on size etc... I've heard of people using simple house weather stripping. The only trick is using the yellow weatherstrip glue that you can get at any auto store. I don't know what area you are but out in my neck of the woods there are Tempos to spare and we still have the same problem with finding weather stripping especially for the d.side, best of luck to you.

I've seen some "universal" type of weather stripping at JCWhitney.... might look there. Good luck and let me know, I have a '98 GL with the same problem. Would like to fix that after I finish the engine overhaul.
